Green Passport Requirements for Exporters 2026: Limits and Application Process

The Special (Green) Passport, the key to visa-free European travel, is not only given to civil servants but also to business people who exceed a certain export limit. In 2026, you and your family can benefit from this privilege based on your company's export performance.

Who Can Apply?

According to the Ministry of Trade and TIM data, green passport rights are granted to executives of companies with an average export of $500,000 or more in the last 3 calendar years (2023, 2024 and 2025).

This right is only valid for company owners, partners or authorized employees.

Number of Passports by Export Amount

As the export amount increases, the number of passports that can be obtained on behalf of the company also increases:

• Annual avg. up to $10 Million: 1 Passport

• $10 - $25 Million: 2 Passports

• $25 - $50 Million: 3 Passports

• $50 - $100 Million: 4 Passports

• Over $100 Million: 5 Passports

Application Process

1. Exporter Union Approval: First, you need to submit a petition to your affiliated Exporter Union to have your company's export amount approved.

2. Provincial Population Directorate Application: You can complete your passport application by going to the Provincial Population Directorate with the approved form.
