Those Who Collect 6 Points Go!
The system is based on simple math. To apply, you must prove your vocational training (at least 2 years) or university degree. Then you need to collect at least 6 points in total from the table below:
Language Skills
German B2: 3 Points
German B1: 2 Points
German A2: 1 Point
English C1: +1 Point (additional)
Work Experience
5 years experience in the last 7 years: 3 Points
2 years experience in the last 5 years: 2 Points
Age
Under 35 years old: 2 Points
Between 35-40 years old: 1 Point
Extras
If you have previously lived in Germany or if your spouse also meets the criteria, you can get additional points.
Good News for Associate Degree Graduates
With the 2026 regulations, not only 4-year faculty graduates but also 2-year associate degree graduates and craftsmen with master certificates have been included in the system.
Additionally, you are allowed to work up to 20 hours per week during the visa period to cover your expenses.
